Chief Scientific Advisor
Dr. Nieponice is currently working as a Research Associate for the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, a world leading institution in the tissue engineering field. With a vast experience both in the clinical and the research environment, he is devoted to bridge the gaps between the two arms to foster clinical translation of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Nieponice completed his surgical training at University of Buenos Aires and joined the Mcgowan Institute to complete his postdoctoral training in vascular and esophageal tissue engineering.
He is author of more than 35 abstracts and peer reviewed publications, 2 book chapters, and has patent pending processes for 2 tissue engineering applications. He has also served as a reviewer for the journal Expert Reviews on Cardiovascular Therapeutics.
He has been actively involved with the design and execution of tissue engineering trials in USA and Argentina.
